Live with meanings...

Sad. That was the feeling I had when my maid entered the boarding hall. Today was the day my maid went back to her hometown. I wondered if I should be happy or sad, but my expression said it all. She had been working for my family for three and a half year already. She knew what my needs were, attended to them and took care of me. I remembered once when I received bad results when I was in primary school and was crying. I felt all alone, as my parents went to work in the afternoon, then she came to comfort me. I also remembered the fact that when I go out, she always follows me. She brings me safely to my destination, no matter how far it is from my house. She watched me grow, from a puny little primary 4, to a tall secondary 1 student who is taller than her now. I just wish, just wish to say once more, a short little "Thank You".

Dedicated to my maid, Leha.

  1. Hey Jack! I'm sorry that your maid had to leave. However, you still have to think about her. Throughout the three and a half years she has been looking after you, she did not get the chance to see her family and friends in her hometown. Also, I like that you are appreciative to what you have around you. It is a good habit and keep up that! Well done!

  2. Hello there Jack! Good post! I understand the fact that you are sad to see your maid leave. Throughout all the years, she had been like a second mother to you. However, I believe you can keep in touch with her and hopefully, she might even go to your house again for a visit. Good luck to you!

  3. I understand the feeling when someone close to you is leaving but this is part and parcel of life. People cannot live forever but I am sorry that your maid left.
