5th February 2010. What exactly happened...

I will remember that day for the rest of my life. Well, on that very day, I got back my Mathematics results and guess what... I got quite bad for it. I was pondering over this incident for quite some time. I really did work hard for it. I really studied and spent at least 2 hrs revising my work. Why this result?! I am really sad and I want to know the answer. In my heart, I really can promise to everyone I did study for this exam. I want to know why I did not do well. What is the answer for this?!

Please give your comments and advice...

Just to add a tinge of fun...

  4. maybe you should revise more!
brush up on those topics you are worst at, then try doing some questions from the text books. After that you should be able to pass much easier!
    Good luck

  7. Hey Jack nice blog! I liked the songs except for the ones that Rihanna sang (not a big fan). By the way Jack everyone has times where they did not do well in one way or the other. It is normal and inevitable. Good luck for our next test.

  10. I feel that you are careless, did not check your work or are overconfident. There might also be another reason, that you studied too hard and are overstressed and so, forgot everything.

  11. For all of you guys, secondary school is a whole new ball game altogether!!! It will take some time for you to get a hang of it!!!! Wait till you find your feet here...maybe the marks of your 2nd term will relly reflect how much you have worked or if there is something seriously wrong in the way you are studying!!! So keep your chin up!!!

  13. Hey, I know how you feel. Do not be sad. Besides, I also got very low marks. But I did not cry. I believe, once we have been pushed down, we must stand up again and fight. That is the spirit of 自强不息. Good luck to you!

  15. Do not be sad. Do not cry over split milk. I know that you are quite good in your studies ( or else you would not end up in Hwa Chong ) , maybe you did not understand the question or maybe there are some careless mistake? Nevermind, just work harder, zai jie zai li, jia you! There is a brighter side to everything - at least you know where you stand, you will have to work harder, it is very competitive now. Work harder and get Edusave Scholarship :) you will make it, it's either you make it or you break it. Make your parents proud ;)

  16. Thank you everyone for teaching me and encouraging me! I appreciate that and I am quite confident after doing the retest. However, I know that I should not be overconfident!

  17. I have only one piece of advice: study smart. Channel your energy into things that you are good at or want to be good at. Don't spread yourself to thinly and become a Jack-of-all-trade. LOL :) Hahahaha

As for your question of which football team will win, I hope for a tie :) P.S. I don't watch soccer.

  18. Oh. I know you feel discouraged because of it. Well, this is what happens when you are in one of the best schools in Singapore. Just work hard and one day you will get very good marks. =]

  19. Why so sad? One cannot dwell on mistakes, but extract the lesson and move on. Just keep a positive mind, Jack. All the way!
